How it works

From parking space to EV charging

A consultative process that starts with your property and ends with a charging program you can see into.

Tell us about your property

Provide basic information so we can understand the opportunity.

  • Property type
  • Location
  • Parking layout
  • Number of potential charging spaces
  • Existing electrical infrastructure, if known
  • Expected EV charging demand

We evaluate the opportunity

Govian works with the property to evaluate the potential deployment, charging requirements and the appropriate commercial structure.

Understand the site

We evaluate parking, available electrical infrastructure, charging demand and installation considerations before recommending a deployment approach. Property owners often expect the charger to be the main hurdle — electrical capacity, trenching, panel or service upgrades, permits and placement frequently matter more.

Choose your partnership model

Select the structure that makes sense for this property: Property-Owned, Govian-Owned or Shared Investment.

Design & installation

Govian coordinates the charging solution and works with qualified installation professionals as required. Electrical work is performed according to applicable codes, permits and licensing requirements.

Connect to Govian

Compatible chargers are connected to Govian’s charging platform for management and charging operations.

Drivers charge

At supported locations, drivers scan the charger QR code, review charging information, provide payment authorization and start charging. Govian confirms the charging session from charger activity rather than simply assuming the session started.

Govian manages the charging lifecycle

Govian manages the charging session, applicable pricing, payment processing and operational records.

Property partners get visibility

Charging activity and applicable commercial information become available through Govian’s property-facing systems.

A note on timelines

Every property moves at a different pace

Deployment timing depends on site conditions, electrical capacity, permitting, equipment availability and the commercial structure you choose. Govian will give you an honest view of what your specific property involves rather than a generic schedule.

  • Site and electrical realities drive the plan
  • Permitting and licensed electrical work handled by qualified professionals
  • Charging hardware evaluated and qualified for compatibility
  • Commercial terms finalized before deployment
